About Me

Kurt Meyer, a native of the greater Chicagoland area, completed his undergraduate studies from Benedictine University in Lisle, IL, and graduated with a Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL. Since January 2020, Kurt also serves as the Director of Music Ministries at St. Scholastica Parish in Woodridge, IL.

Since his first piece of music released for publication in 2017, Kurt has had over 100 publications accepted at multiple publishing houses, including GIA Publications, Alfred Handbell, Sonology Music, From the Top Music, Jeffers Handbell, Grassy Meadow Music, Hope Publishing, Beckenhorst Press, CIR Music, and has also self-published music through Sheet Music Plus and J.W. Pepper. Kurt’s compositional interests include writing for handbells, solo and 4-hand piano, choral settings, clarinet and woodwind chamber music, and expanded orchestral settings.
