About Me

I’m Mareike Davis from Phoenix, Arizona and I’ve been playing handbells since 2000.

I began performing solos and duets in 2014.

In January 2017, I published the sheet music for my first self-arranged solo and have been steadily adding to my published library of arrangements since then. In mid-2017, I also published my first original composition.

While pursuing a Master’s degree in Norway from 2016 to 2018, I established a handbell choir in Trondheim, one of only three in all of Norway, and acted as its music director.

I spent most of 2014 and 2015 designing and prototyping a new type of portable handbell table cover. In 2020, I developed the BellCozy, an accessory designed to help protect a heavy metal ringer's hands from the weight of the bell. In 2021, I started this site, Vreana, as a way to spread the word about the existence of independent publishers.
